Custom Projects

 

 

 

 

 

The Duke University DNA Analysis Facility is able to perform custom genetic analysis projects that utilize our existing services and technologies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Examples of projects we’ve done:

 

 

 

1) Custom resequencing.  For laboratories not set up to perform PCR and DNA sequencing, the DNA Analysis facility can perform PCR from gDNA, purification of the PCR

 
 

fragment, and DNA sequencing.  Assistance with designing oligonucleotides and data

 

analysis is also available.

 

 

 

2) Custom DNA fragment repeat analysis.  We can perform the gDNA PCR reactions using

 

fluorescently-labeled primers and analyze the products by capillary electrophoresis.

 

 

 

3) SNP projects - The DNA analysis facility can perform small-scale SNP analysis projects

 

using a combination of HRM real-time PCR, TaqMan and DNA resequencing.
