How to Contribute Thank you for your interest in becoming a cord blood donor! Donating cord blood is a safe procedure that will not harm you or your baby in any way. How Do I Become a Cord Blood Donor? If you would like to donate your baby's cord blood, please contact us at the Carolinas Cord Blood Bank as early as 28-32 weeks of pregnancy. We will add you to our donor list and we will arrange for a CCBB nurse to meet you at your obstetrician’s office to explain the donation process and answer your questions. If you cannot meet with a member of our team before coming to the hospital, another option is to inform your labor and delivery nurse, when you arrive at the hospital, of your wish to become a cord blood donor.
