Hospital School - The Hospital School is
part of the Durham Public School system and is staffed by North Carolina
certified teachers. One of the goals of the Hospital School is to provide
educational services to school-age patients enabling them to continue
their studies with as little interruption as possible. These services may
include testing, direct instruction and communication between the home
school and hospital school staff. In a medical setting, school provides a
degree of normalcy for the child who is ill. The Hospital School also
assists children in making the transition back to their home schools.
There is no charge for this service.
